Removal And Recycling

The pricing for our services varies on a case by case basis. To better understand our pricing processes please contact a sales representative and take advantage of one of our free evaluations. For additional convenience we have added the “request quote” page to our website. This page will allow us to provide you with a quote; simply fill in the fields provided and an associate will contact you with an estimate tailored to you companies needs.

Our unique business model allows your company to receive reimbursements for your surplus electronic equipment. Any equipment that does not qualify for reimbursements will be removed and recycled at our low rate of $0.25 per pound. This charge covers all equipment with the exception of televisions and appliances, which are processed at $0.50 per pound.

Pickup Fees

We have FREE pickups! For any pick up that has over 400 lbs of equipment in the Twin cites metro area Ocean Tech will come out and remove the equipment at no additional charge. There is a $50 pickup fee for loads smaller than 400 lbs. This charge includes the removal of the equipment from the facility. For smaller loads there is also the option for our clients to drop off equipment at our e-waste processing facility located at:

De-Installation Service

Ocean Tech also offers a de-installation service. Ocean Tech’s equipment specialists will provide a packaging and removal service for your surplus computer and electronic equipment. This maybe appropriate for equipment that is in a precarious location and/or requires extensive time and/or labor for removal. Ocean Tech charges a fee of $20.00/hour per person (minimum one hour) for this service.

The prices above are for removal and recycling only; we offer reimbursements for all re-marketable equipment.

Data Destruction & Physical Hard Drive Destruction Pricing

Security Level 2 Data Destruction is performed at $5.00 per drive; this process overwrites the data on the drive making the data unrecoverable to the DoD 522-22M Standard.

Security Level 3 Physical Storage Device Destruction is performed at $10.00 per Device; storage devices are destroyed using a “degausser”. This process physically deforms the device internally thereby destroying all data. Each storage device is then ground up and recycled. Such storage devices may include but are not limited too computer hard drives, laptop hard drives, server hard dives, diskettes, tapes etc.

Prices for both of these services include cataloguing of all the serial numbers to account for all the storage devices and certificates stating that the service has been performed.
