Data Destruction
Applicable laws and regulations. We understand the
importance of security and privacy to a company in
today’s marketplace. Therefore, we take every
precaution to insure that all data is properly
destroyed, and a Certificate of Destruction is
provided.
These services adhere to all of the following
regulations:
• HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and
Accountability Act)
• Sarbanes-Oxley Act
• Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA)
• Bank secrecy Act (BSA)
• Patriot Act
• Identity Theft and Assumption Deterrence Act
• FDA Security Regulations (21 C.F.R. part 11)
• All Applicable State Laws
Security
Ocean-Tech has a strong understanding of, and
commitment to, the security of client's privileged
information. Therefore, we take every precaution to
insure that all data is properly and permanently
destroyed. We have three levels of data destruction
available:
(1) Data Destruction Service: $5.00 / per drive
For clients who are concerned with unrecoverable data destruction.
All data on any storage device at this level is destroyed to the standards of DoD 5220.22-M method (American Department of Defense Standard 5220-22.M) and in accordance and in compliance with all applicable state laws and regulations.
These drives are catalogued by serial number. The certified technician signs them off. Certificate(s) are sent to the client by mail.
(2) In house Physical Drive & Media Destruction: $10.00/per drive
Hard drives and media, at this priority level, are destroyed upon delivery to the Ocean-Tech processing facility.
Drives or media are physically destroyed to the standards of DoD 5220.22-M method (American Department of Defense Standard 5220-22.M) and in accordance and in compliance with applicable state laws and regulations.
Drives are catalogued by serial number. Upon completion of the physical destruction of the drive, they are signed off as destroyed by the Certification Technician. Certificate(s) are sent to the client by mail.
(3) On Location Media device shredding ($100min.) $10.00/per drive.
This service is performed by one of our NAID certified third party partners. An industry standard 5/8" crosscut shred will be performed at the location of the equipment. Media must be extracted prior to the arrival of our uniformed, bonded, picture ID'd and insured customer service representative. The extracted media will be processed and a certificate of destruction will be issued at the conclusion of each service.
